Hello and a very warm welcome to my website!
My name is Maria Broadhead and I am proud to say that most of the items on my site are designed and handmade by me, right here in the beautiful Rede Valley, Northumberland, where I am so lucky to live.
I live here with my wonderful husband, two lovely step-sons, three dogs, three chickens, two cats plus numerous wild animals, sheep, cows and a bull called Elvis!
A primary school teacher all of my working life, I have been very fortunate to have travelled to some amazing places around the world - New England being my favourite, and it was here, in the beautiful town of Stowe, Vermont, that my love of American country crafts began. The distinctive fabrics, colours and scents inspired me to decorate my own home in this wonderful style and prompted me to then design and make my own original pieces too.
And ten years on...I love it more than ever!
